I'm a cartoonist/illustrator/printmaker who lives in Portland, Oregon. I moved here 4 years ago from Louisiana, where I'd lived most of my life. I love it here. For the past 3 years I've been a member of the Pony Club Gallery and learned a lot about curating and hanging art and working collaboratively. I used to put out an anthology of comics and art called Studygroup12. There were 3 issues of it, the last of which won an Ignatz award! My comics have been in several anthologies, such as Hi-Horse, Project Superior, Superior Showcase, and Kramers Ergot (I was in the one before it got really good and famous). In 2005 the first and so far only issue of my comic series The Secret Voice was published by Adhouse Books. I took an unexpected hiatus from comics after moving to Portland, focusing mainly on gallery and illustration work, but I am back at work on new material in the world of The Secret Voice! I've also got a new mini comic series called GHOST ATTACK!?, and I'm also working on a new issue of SG12! What the heck? I really missed comics, it turned out.
If by some chance you haven't read enough about me
- here's an interview with Tom Spurgeon of the Comics Reporter that came out right after SV#1.
- here's a review of GHOST ATTACK FALL 2009 (aka ghost attack #2) by TCJ's Rob Clough
- and Tom Spurgeon makes me blush with a GHOST ATTACK FALL 2009 review over here.
